History museum that preserves and maintains the oldest operating cotton gin in America. Open Tuesdays-Saturdays with guided tours of the historic gin at 10am and 2pm. The Burton Farmers Gin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and is a national engineering landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The museum is located in Burton, Texas halfway between Austin and Houston. Open 10am until 4pm Tue thru Sat.
